Characteristics of R60702:
Zirconium is a highly corrosion-resistant metal, suitable for chemical corrosion-resistant equipment. Its acid resistance is superior to that of titanium and various steels, and is close to that of tantalum. Zirconium is also quite stable in alkaline solutions.
Zirconium is fully resistant to the erosion of alkaline solutions and molten alkalis. Its corrosion resistance in sodium hydroxide media is comparable to that of nickel. Due to its excellent corrosion resistance, zirconium is in many cases much better than titanium and precious metals. Furthermore, zirconium exhibits good mechanical properties and high temperature resistance. Therefore, zirconium is mainly used in chemical equipment, especially in equipment with high corrosion resistance requirements, such as heat exchangers, vessel linings, valves, pump casings, blades, agitators, conduits, etc. Many chemical equipment for producing fertilizers, resins, plastics, and acids utilize zirconium.
